DriveCheck: Improving Driver Safety

Helping your team make safer decisions on the road can prevent collisions. This workshop (formerly called Improving Driver Behaviours) shows you how to influence those decisions. It gives you practical training methods and tools to help boost your drivers’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes. You’ll get a record of participation when you complete a workshop.
Road Safety Basics for Small Business

Are you involved with or know anyone running a small business? Please let them know about this new webinar. It’s no-cost, runs only 50 minutes, and will help them understand their legal responsibilities when they have employees who do any work-related driving. Even if it’s just occasionally or in their own vehicle. We’ll also outline steps to take to comply with the requirements and help keep their employees safe. A conversation about the complexities of moving seniors safely. When older Canadians have to move - either closer to family, to get out of a large multi-level home to a one-level location, or require transitioning to a special care facility, amongst many other scenarios, the preparation for move day can be very stressful and challenging, especially if they have lived in their home for decades. Canadian Association of Movers President Nancy Irvine has a great conversation with CAM Member Brett Ford who specializes in seniors moves. Discussion includes moving in general, what a mover does, the need for a "quarterback" to help manage the move, moving into long care homes and retirement homes and COVID considerations, and moving scams that target seniors. Here's a 22-minute video on the complexities of moving seniors safely. This is time well-spent if your customer base includes older Canadians. - April 2, 2022
